Entry Level Customer Success Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level customer success engineer job?
Focus on demonstrating technical curiosity alongside genuine customer empathy, since entry level hiring teams weigh both equally. Hands-on experience with CRM tools, basic scripting, or API troubleshooting stands out at this stage. Internship projects, capstone work, or a portfolio showing you have helped users solve real problems can give you a clear edge over candidates with a longer resume but no practical examples.
Which companies hire entry level customer success engineers?
Companies hiring entry level customer success engineers right now include ALTO USA, Armis, and GitLab, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, you'll find openings at a wide range of employers, from early-stage startups building their first customer teams to established software and technology companies expanding support for growing product lines.
Are there remote entry level customer success engineer jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a significant share of the market. About 52% of entry level customer success engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates who are flexible on work setting will find a broader range of opportunities than those searching for fully remote positions only.
Are these new grad customer success engineer jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior customer success engineer roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or co-op work in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites applicants who can demonstrate relevant skills through a portfolio rather than a long employment record.
Which industries hire the most entry level customer success engineers?
Entry Level customer success engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because their products are complex enough to require technical onboarding support, yet growing fast enough that companies actively train junior candidates rather than waiting for experienced hires to become available.
