Data Analytics Manager Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a data analytics manager job in Houston?
Start by targeting Houston's dominant sectors: energy companies along the Energy Corridor, large health systems in the Texas Medical Center, and financial services firms concentrated near Greenway Plaza and Downtown. Candidates who stand out in this market combine SQL and Python fluency with experience translating data outputs into operational decisions. Domain knowledge in oil and gas, healthcare operations, or supply chain analytics gives a meaningful edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in Houston?
Employers hiring data analytics managers in Houston right now include Deloitte, Turner & Townsend Pty Limited, and Houston-Galveston Area Council, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Houston's hiring pool is especially broad, drawing from integrated energy majors, hospital networks, petrochemical firms, and regional banks that maintain large analytics teams locally.
Are there remote data analytics manager jobs in Houston?
Yes, though availability depends on the employer. Data analytics manager roles are desk-based and analytical by nature, making them more remote-compatible than hands-on or operational positions. About 26% of data analytics manager openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the strongest remote flexibility found in technology and financial services firms rather than energy or healthcare employers who typically require on-site presence.
How can I get a data analytics manager job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Houston is moving up from a senior analyst or analytics lead role within a large local employer. The Texas Medical Center, major energy companies, and Houston's retail and logistics sector regularly hire analytics leads who can grow into manager roles internally. Building familiarity with tools common in Houston's energy and healthcare stacks, such as Power BI and Tableau, and gaining experience presenting to non-technical stakeholders, accelerates that transition significantly.
Which industries hire the most data analytics managers in Houston?
Most data analytics manager openings in Houston sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Energy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Houston's position as the U.S. energy capital, combined with the Texas Medical Center being the world's largest medical complex, creates sustained local demand for analytics leadership that goes well beyond what most comparably sized cities generate.
