We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our team to support the U.S. Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM) in Indianapolis, IN. You will be responsible for supporting data analytics and engineering efforts for the Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG).
The Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for supporting various data analytics efforts across USAFMCOM, specifically for the Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG). The enineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Requirement Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for analytics solutions.
- Solution Design:
- Design scalable and maintainable analytics solutions.
- Develop technical specifications and data models.
- Development:
- Extract data from source systems (DJMS, IPPS-A, etc.).
- Load the data into Databricks warehouse and clean for analysis.
- Build custom datasets for dashboard use.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Testing and Deployment:
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Deploy solutions to production environments and ensure successful implementation.
- Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Implement enhancements and updates as needed.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions, to include business requirements, technical specifications, architecture diagrams and design documents, and deployment/implementation plans.
- Provide user guides and training materials for end-users.
- This position is located in Indianapolis, IN. This position will require the candidate to go on-site M-F
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
- 3-10 years of relevant work experience to include:
- 3+ years of experience in Power Platform development (Apps, Automate, BI)
- 3+ years of experience with SQL
- 3+ years of experience with Python
- Databricks (Data Intelligence Platforms)
- Army Vantage
- Data cleansing, data prep, and data translation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle delegated tasks and development
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience supporting DoD stakeholders and leadership
