Logistics Analyst Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a logistics analyst in Indiana?
Logistics analysts in Indiana do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or industrial engineering. Graduates from Indiana University, Purdue University, or Butler University with coursework in operations or logistics are well-positioned. Earning an APICS certification such as the CSCP or CPIM substantially strengthens a candidacy, and many Indiana manufacturers and distributors treat it as a differentiator when comparing otherwise similar applicants.
How much do logistics analysts make in Indiana?
Logistics analysts in Indiana earn a median of about $77,670 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $49,310 for the lowest 10% to over $122,910 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire logistics analysts in Indiana?
Employers hiring logistics analysts in Indiana right now include SAIC, Bowhead, and Conduent, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indiana's strong manufacturing base and position as a national freight hub means that both large corporations and regional third-party logistics providers post consistently throughout the year.
Which Indiana cities have the most logistics analyst jobs?
Bedford, Indianapolis, and Crane have the most logistics analyst openings in Indiana. Indianapolis accounts for the largest share because it is home to the state's densest concentration of corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and life sciences manufacturers, while Fort Wayne and Columbus generate demand through automotive suppliers and industrial manufacturers with significant regional footprints.
Are there remote logistics analyst jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than many operations roles, because logistics analysts focus on data modeling, reporting, and planning rather than physical warehouse or floor work. About 0% of logistics analyst openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader adoption across the sector. Demand forecasting, network optimization, and spend analysis functions are the most likely to be performed fully remotely or on a flexible schedule.
How can I get hired as a logistics analyst in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for supply chain coordinator or operations analyst roles at large Indiana manufacturers such as Cummins, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, or Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, which frequently bring on recent graduates through structured rotational programs. Purdue University and Indiana University graduates with internship experience at Indiana-based distributors often convert directly into analyst roles. A completed APICS CSCP or an Excel and SQL portfolio demonstrating data analysis skills can compensate for limited professional history when applying to entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to logistics analyst jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to logistics analyst jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings across industries including manufacturing, distribution, and life sciences. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level and preferred location within Indiana, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
