Data Management & Strategy - Manager Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data management & strategy - manager in Louisiana?
Most Louisiana employers require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or business analytics, with a master's degree preferred for senior roles. There is no state-issued license for this role in Louisiana, but certifications such as the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) from DAMA International strengthen candidacy significantly. Employers in Louisiana's energy, healthcare, and state government sectors typically expect several years of hands-on data governance or analytics experience before promoting someone into a manager-level position.
Which companies hire data management & strategy - managers in Louisiana?
Companies currently hiring data management & strategy - managers in Louisiana include Entergy, CVS Health, and Block, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's concentration of large energy firms, regional healthcare networks, and state agency technology offices makes it a consistent market for data leadership roles across multiple industries.
Which Louisiana cities have the most data management & strategy - manager jobs?
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Louisiana account for the most data management & strategy - manager openings in Louisiana. New Orleans and Baton Rouge lead because of their density of large healthcare systems, energy company headquarters, and state government technology offices, while Shreveport draws demand from regional healthcare networks and financial services firms anchored in northwest Louisiana.
