Marketing Data Analyst Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing data analyst in Louisiana?
Marketing data analyst roles in Louisiana do not require a state-issued license or registration. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, business analytics, or a closely related field. In Louisiana, candidates who combine that foundation with demonstrated SQL skills and a portfolio of campaign or customer analyses compete well. Graduate programs at institutions like LSU, Tulane, and the University of New Orleans produce candidates employers in New Orleans and Baton Rouge actively recruit.
How much do marketing data analysts make in Louisiana?
Marketing data analysts in Louisiana earn a median of about $59,690 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $32,130 for the lowest 10% to over $111,550 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing data analysts in Louisiana?
Louisiana marketing data analyst roles are posted by Tulane University, Copado, and CVS Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's mix of energy, hospitality, gaming, and regional healthcare sectors means openings appear across a broader range of industries than most comparable-sized states.
Which Louisiana cities have the most marketing data analyst jobs?
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Louisiana hold the most marketing data analyst openings in Louisiana. New Orleans generates the largest share, driven by its tourism, hospitality, and gaming industries, while Baton Rouge reflects demand from energy companies and state government contractors, and Shreveport draws openings from regional healthcare systems and casino operations anchored there.
Are there remote marketing data analyst jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 32% of marketing data analyst openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how central this role is to desk-based analytical work that transfers well to distributed teams. Campaign reporting, customer segmentation modeling, and dashboard maintenance are the functions most consistently offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing data analyst in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior analyst or marketing coordinator role that involves reporting and data pulls, then building toward a dedicated analyst position. Large Louisiana employers like Ochsner Health, Entergy, and regional casino operators occasionally run rotational or new-grad analyst programs. A portfolio with real segmentation or attribution projects, even from coursework or freelance work for local nonprofits, moves a resume past the filter. Lateral entry from marketing operations, CRM administration, or business intelligence associate roles is also common in the Louisiana market.
Where can I find and apply to marketing data analyst jobs in Louisiana?
