Job Description
We are seeking a Marketing Data Platform Specialist with strong data engineering, data management, and analytics capabilities to play a critical role in strengthening the data foundation for Visa Marketing 360, Visa’s global marketing automation and personalization platform. This role will partner closely with technology, product, Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, regional teams, and client-facing stakeholders to ensure that internal and client-provided data is properly onboarded, ingested, validated, governed, and activated for campaign execution, personalization, reporting, and measurement.
The Marketing Data Platform Specialist will support the design and optimization of scalable data pipelines, enabling Client Data Ingestion, validating data readiness, resolving data quality issues, and ensuring that data reviews and approvals are completed before use in campaigns or reporting. The role will also help translate campaign and audience data into performance dashboards, measurement inputs, and actionable insights that support optimization and executive visibility across Visa Marketing 360.
Main Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Integration
Partner with technology teams to design, build, and maintain the data foundation and data pipelines for Visa Marketing 360, integrating internal and external data sources and supporting reliable batch, near-real-time, and real-time data availability for campaign activation, personalization, and measurement.
Lead Client Data Ingestion enablement by partnering with clients, regional teams, technology, and product stakeholders to define data onboarding requirements, validate file readiness, coordinate ingestion timelines, resolve data issues, and ensure client data is approved and activated for Visa Marketing 360 campaign use.
Perform data cleansing, transformation, enrichment, and validation to create high-quality datasets for campaign targeting, personalization, reporting, and measurement.
Integrate internal predictive models and segmentation capabilities into platform workflows to support audience creation, targeting, personalization, and campaign optimization.
Develop and maintain processes to monitor data quality, identify data gaps or anomalies, coordinate remediation with technology and business stakeholders, and ensure issues are resolved before data is used for campaign execution, reporting, or measurement.
Data Model Definition & Governance
Design, implement, and maintain a flexible, scalable data model that supports evolving marketing campaign requirements, client data ingestion, advanced analytics, and personalization strategies.
Ensure the data model accommodates new data sources, changing business rules, regional requirements, and client-specific data variations without disrupting existing operations.
Collaborate with product, technology, Marketing Operations, analytics, and regional teams to translate business requirements into robust data structures, data mapping rules, and operational workflows.
Establish data governance standards, review routines, and approval processes to maintain consistency, accuracy, privacy compliance, and business readiness across Visa Marketing 360 datasets.
Data Analytics & Measurement
Partner closely with Marketing Analytics teams to build, enhance, and maintain campaign performance dashboards that track campaign delivery, audience performance, engagement, conversion, and other KPIs needed for reporting, optimization, and executive visibility.
Support campaign performance reporting and measurement by preparing validated datasets, aligning KPI definitions, enabling control group or A/B testing analysis where applicable, and ensuring reporting inputs are accurate, timely, and ready for stakeholder review.
Analyze campaign, audience, and customer engagement data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve targeting, personalization, and campaign performance.
Partner with marketing and analytics teams to translate data into actionable insights for campaign planning, optimization, and performance storytelling.
AI & Automation
Leverage automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve data preparation, segmentation, validation, quality monitoring, and campaign optimization processes.
Evaluate emerging analytics and AI capabilities that can improve data readiness, decision-making speed, personalization quality, and operational efficiency within Visa Marketing 360.
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with product, technology, Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, regional teams, and client-facing stakeholders to align data capabilities with Visa Marketing 360 platform strategy, campaign execution needs, and client data onboarding priorities.
Partner with Marketing Operations and regional teams to ensure data readiness for campaign execution, including audience availability, segmentation inputs, quality checks, and approval workflows.
Provide guidance to marketing, operations, analytics, and regional teams on data readiness, dashboard usage, KPI interpretation, data quality expectations, and best practices for preparing client data for Visa Marketing 360 activation and measurement.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
