Housed within the School of Public Health, the mission of the Department of Health Policy and Management is to improve public health through better planning, design, management, and evaluation of the myriad organizations that provide health services.
Job Summary
Creates and monitors complex participant and protocol scheduling schemes. Develops, implements, and maintains data management systems. Coordinates research activities across multiple groups. Oversees data entry, management, and dissemination procedures. Performs administrative management duties for research projects and oversees the research administration operations of study protocols and methods development.
- Performs administrative management duties for research project/s; provides leadership, expertise, and resolves complex issues. Oversees the research administration operations of study protocols and methods development, including documentation, implementation, algorithm development, and high-level and complex data analyses.
- Creates, facilitates, and directs a complex scheduling scheme involving large numbers of research participants and active protocols. Monitors subject accrual through active protocols.
- Develops, implements, maintains, and manages complex data management systems of multi-dimensional biological datasets, including defining and creating research databases, creating new data collection forms and tables for existing databases, creating data editing routines and export processes, and transferring export datasets to national repositories.
- Coordinates research activities/projects with multiple laboratories.
- Ensures staff adherence to developed protocols.
- Provides data management support for researchers and other staff as needed.
- Oversees data entry, report dissemination, data management procedures, and other project management staff oversight duties as directed.
- Maintains common data model for a large research network
- Provides technical assistance to research partners and sites outside the university
