• Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role involves supporting dentists during patient procedures, managing clinical operations, and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play an essential part in delivering high-quality dental services while maintaining clinical confidentiality and infection control standards. Duties

• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic Dentrix or Open Dental ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques
• Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during treatments
• Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal outcomes
• Support patient management through effective communication, appointment scheduling, and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and patient information
• Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and operated safely in accordance with infection control standards

Experience

• Previous experience working in a dental environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry
• Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or other patient management software is essential
• Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures
• Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques and radiographic imaging including 3D scanning technology
• Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques to ensure clinical safety
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies aligned with clinical confidentiality standards
• Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
