About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Developer to join our client's engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a hands-on development role requiring strong expertise in Java-based enterprise applications, web technologies, and database development. The ideal candidate will also have experience leading or coordinating with offshore development teams and preferably possess a manufacturing/FAB background. Note: This is an onsite position. Candidates must be available to work from the Sunnyvale/San Jose office and support FAB operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications.
- Build and enhance enterprise web applications using Java Servlets, JSP, JavaScript, and ExtJS.
- Develop and integrate REST and SOAP web services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement new features.
- Lead and provide technical guidance to offshore development teams.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability.
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions using Oracle 19c.
- Deploy and maintain applications on Tomcat servers.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong experience with Java Servlets and JSP.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ExtJS.
- Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP web services.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c, SQL, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with Tomcat application servers.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, SVN, or Perforce.
- Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD and Eclipse IDE for development.
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring or leading offshore development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing or Semiconductor/FAB environment.
