E-3 Visa Brazer Jobs
Brazer roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a relevant technical degree and meets the specialty occupation standard. Australian welding and fabrication professionals can secure two-year renewable status with no lottery competition, making this one of the more straightforward paths to U.S. employment in skilled trades manufacturing.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Brazer
Document your technical credentials before applying
U.S. consular officers assess whether your Australian qualifications meet specialty occupation requirements. Get your trade certificates, engineering diplomas, or vocational credentials formally evaluated by a NACES-approved credential evaluator so employers can confirm your eligibility before filing.
Target manufacturers with active DOL filing history
Aerospace, automotive, and industrial fabrication companies regularly file Labor Condition Applications for skilled trades roles. Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data to identify employers who have previously sponsored brazing or welding technicians, then prioritize those in your outreach.
Use Migrate Mate to find and file your E-3
Migrate Mate surfaces brazer roles from employers with E-3 sponsorship history and, once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA submission, visa paperwork, and consulate appointment preparation end-to-end.
Frame your brazing specialization precisely in job applications
Specialty occupation status depends partly on how the role is defined. Applications that specify torch brazing, induction brazing, or vacuum brazing on pressure vessels or aerospace components are more defensible than generic welding descriptions when the employer files your LCA.
Confirm your employer understands the LCA timeline
The DOL certifies a Labor Condition Application in roughly seven business days, but employers unfamiliar with E-3 filings sometimes treat this step as a formality. Clarify early that LCA certification must happen before your DS-160 is submitted and your consulate appointment scheduled.
Request a consulate appointment in Perth if Sydney backlogs run long
All three Australian consulates process E-3 applications, and Perth frequently has shorter appointment wait times than Sydney or Melbourne. If your start date is firm, check availability across all three posts before booking rather than defaulting to the nearest city.

Find Brazer JobsBrazer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Brazer jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters roles by employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never filed for an Australian worker. Search by job title and location, and you'll see brazer and fabrication technician postings from employers who understand the E-3 process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Brazer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. Brazing positions tied to aerospace components, pressure systems, medical devices, or precision manufacturing are more likely to satisfy the specialty occupation standard because they require application of a body of highly specialized knowledge. A general production brazer without a degree requirement in a related technical field may face scrutiny. Your employer's job description and your own credentials both factor into the consular officer's assessment.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Brazer roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap that fills up, which means your employer can file at any point in the year and your start date isn't constrained by an October 1 cutoff. H-1B registrations for skilled trades roles frequently go unselected. For Australian professionals, the E-3 is a direct alternative that avoids that uncertainty entirely, provided the brazer role meets specialty occupation requirements.
Can I switch employers while working in the U.S. on an E-3?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer the visa. Your new employer needs to file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp, which typically means returning to Australia for a consulate appointment unless you're applying for a change of status from within the U.S. Plan the transition carefully so you don't have a gap in authorized employment status.
