Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Data Management & Strategy - Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in data science, information systems, or business analytics is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 specialty occupation purposes. Prepare a credential evaluation letter before interviews so employers don't hesitate on sponsorship.
Target employers with established data functions
Focus on companies that already have a Chief Data Officer, data governance team, or active data strategy program. These organizations understand what a Data Management Manager does and are less likely to question whether the role meets the E-3 specialty occupation definition.
Search E-3 sponsorship roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Data Management and Strategy Manager openings by employers with E-3 sponsorship history. Searching by visa type removes roles where sponsorship is unlikely, saving weeks of outreach to companies unfamiliar with the E-3 process.
Clarify the LCA requirement early in negotiations
Before accepting an offer, confirm your employer understands they must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa application proceeds. This step typically takes seven business days and must be completed before you can schedule your consulate appointment.
Align your job description with DOL specialty occupation criteria
Work with your employer to ensure your written job description explicitly requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like information management, computer science, or data analytics. Vague descriptions citing any bachelor's degree as acceptable can create problems at the consulate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end, from DOL submission through consulate preparation. This avoids the coordination errors that commonly delay Data Management roles with complex scope descriptions.

Find Data Management & Strategy - Manager JobsData Management & Strategy - Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Data Management & Strategy Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Data Management and Strategy Manager roles filtered specifically by E-3 visa sponsorship. General job boards don't let you filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying to roles where sponsorship was never on the table. Migrate Mate surfaces employers already familiar with the E-3 process, which shortens the path from application to offer.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Data Management & Strategy Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as information systems, data science, business analytics, or computer science. Roles requiring any bachelor's degree regardless of field can face scrutiny at the consulate. Your job offer letter and the DOL Labor Condition Application should both specify the required degree field to avoid delays.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Data Management & Strategy Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any point in the year once you have a job offer. H-1B registration opens once annually in March, and selection is random, meaning even a strong candidate with a qualifying offer may wait a year or more. For data management roles with time-sensitive project starts, the E-3's year-round availability is a practical advantage.
Can I change employers or move into a director-level role while on an E-3?
You can change employers, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp unless you're changing status from inside the U.S. Moving into a director role is also possible, but the new position must independently qualify as a specialty occupation. A significant title change at the same company may require a new visa application rather than a simple amendment.
