Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an EHS Manager
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Australian WHS qualifications and state-based certifications aren't automatically recognized in the U.S. Get your credentials evaluated by a NACES-approved agency so hiring managers can map your background to OSHA compliance and EPA regulatory frameworks.
Target industries with established EHS infrastructure
Manufacturing, construction, mining, and chemical processing companies routinely sponsor EHS roles because regulatory exposure makes qualified hires a compliance necessity, not a preference. These sectors file LCAs regularly and understand the E-3 visa process.
Search E-3 sponsorship roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find EHS Manager positions where employers have active E-3 or H-1B visa filing history. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation end-to-end once you have an offer.
Confirm the role meets specialty occupation criteria
Not every EHS Manager posting qualifies. The job description must require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, not just any degree. Ask the hiring manager to confirm this before the offer stage to avoid LCA complications with DOL.
Request LCA filing before your start date
The DOL must certify your employer's Labor Condition Application before you can attend your consulate appointment. Typical LCA processing runs seven business days, but build in extra time if your employer is filing for the first time.
Clarify multi-site work arrangements with your employer
EHS Managers often oversee multiple facilities. Each worksite covered under your E-3 must appear on the LCA or a short-form LCA amendment. Confirm this with your employer's HR or legal team before accepting an offer with travel requirements.
E-3 Visa EHS Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find EHS Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for EHS Manager roles where employers already understand E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards mix sponsorship-willing and non-sponsoring employers without filtering for visa type, which wastes time. Migrate Mate surfaces companies with active work visa filing history so you can focus on realistic opportunities from the start.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for EHS Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no lottery, no annual cap, and no employer registration fee. H-1B selection is random with roughly a 25% selection rate in recent years. For an EHS Manager with an Australian passport, the E-3 is a direct path, while H-1B involves significant uncertainty. Both require an LCA and specialty occupation determination, but the E-3 process is faster and more predictable.
Does an EHS Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
It qualifies when the employer requires a bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, occupational health and safety, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. Generic postings that list a degree as preferred rather than required can fail the specialty occupation test. USCIS looks at the employer's actual requirements and industry norms, not just the job title.
Can I switch EHS Manager employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally after changing jobs. There's no H-1B-style portability rule for the E-3. You can begin working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and you hold a valid E-3 visa covering that employer, or after attending a new consulate appointment.
