Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Quality Assurance Inspector
Document your degree equivalency early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but have a credential evaluation ready. USCIS officers reviewing QA roles in regulated industries scrutinize education records closely.
Target industries with established LCA history
Manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals regularly file Labor Condition Applications for QA Inspector roles. Focus your search on employers in these sectors, as they already understand the DOL certification process.
Clarify the degree requirement in your offer letter
Your offer letter must state that a bachelor's degree in a specific field is required for the role. A letter saying degree preferred rather than required can disqualify the position as a specialty occupation under E-3 rules.
Use Migrate Mate to file your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This gets your DOL certification submitted and your consulate appointment package prepared without delays from unfamiliar employers.
Ask your employer about E-Verify enrollment upfront
Some regulated QA roles, particularly in federal contracting or defense supply chains, require employers to be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm this before accepting an offer to avoid delays after your visa is approved.
Time your consulate appointment around project start dates
E-3 consulate appointments in Sydney and Melbourne typically have shorter waits than H-1B consular processing elsewhere. Book your appointment as soon as your LCA is certified so your start date aligns with your employer's quality team onboarding schedule.

Find Quality Assurance Inspector JobsQuality Assurance Inspector E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Quality Assurance Inspector jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find Quality Assurance Inspector roles at employers with active E-3 and LCA filing history. Many QA positions are listed without explicit sponsorship language, so filtering by employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for similar roles is the most reliable way to identify genuine opportunities.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Quality Assurance Inspector role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. QA Inspector positions that require a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field qualify as specialty occupations. Roles where any background is accepted, or where the degree is preferred rather than required, typically do not meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. The job description and offer letter wording are critical.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Quality Assurance Inspector roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply any time of year after receiving a job offer. H-1B requires entering a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection chance for most applicants. For QA Inspector roles, both visas require the position to meet specialty occupation standards, but the E-3 path is faster and more predictable for Australian nationals.
Can I transfer my E-3 to a new QA employer if I change jobs?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with the new employer. Your new employer must file a new Labor Condition Application with the DOL and you'll need to either change status or attend a new consulate appointment. There's no portability provision for E-3 like AC21 provides for H-1B holders, so plan for a gap between roles if you're switching positions.
