Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Construction Coordinator
Document your degree equivalency early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in construction management or civil engineering are accepted for E-3 purposes, but some employers need confirmation. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before your first interview to remove any doubt.
Target general contractors over subcontractors
General contractors running multi-phase commercial or infrastructure projects are far more likely to hold active LCA filing history than specialty subcontractors. Focus your search on firms with federal, state, or large private contracts, where coordinator roles are permanent headcount.
Separate your LCA filing from visa paperwork
Your employer files the LCA with DOL before you can apply at the consulate. Delays happen when employers treat these as one task. Clarify with your hiring manager that LCA certification and DS-160 preparation run on separate timelines so nothing stalls your start date.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation. This removes the risk of employer-side errors that can delay your start date by weeks.
Confirm the role meets specialty occupation criteria
Not every Construction Coordinator posting qualifies. The position must normally require a degree in a specific technical field, not just any bachelor's degree. Review the job description before accepting an offer to ensure it aligns with DOL specialty occupation standards.
Search specifically for E-3 sponsorship on Migrate Mate
Generic job boards surface listings without filtering for visa sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate shows Construction Coordinator roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship, letting you skip outreach to firms that won't file.

Find Construction Coordinator JobsConstruction Coordinator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Construction Coordinator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Construction Coordinator roles filtered for E-3 sponsorship. Because the E-3 requires employer-filed LCA paperwork, you need employers who are already open to the process. Targeting construction firms with active federal or state contracts also improves your chances, as these employers are more familiar with visa compliance requirements.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Construction Coordinator role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. Construction Coordinator positions that require a degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a closely related field typically meet the specialty occupation standard. Roles where the employer accepts any bachelor's degree regardless of field are harder to support. Review the job description carefully before proceeding with sponsorship.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Construction Coordinator roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there is no lottery and no cap backlog. The H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate. For Construction Coordinator roles, the E-3 offers a predictable, repeatable path that the H-1B cannot guarantee.
Can I switch Construction Coordinator employers while on an E-3?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. if your current visa reflects the previous employer. If you're already inside the U.S., the change of employer process doesn't require you to leave, but the new LCA must be certified before you start work.
