Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Electrical Project Manager
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your Australian engineering degree is recognized as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree, but you'll need a credential evaluation letter to confirm this. Include it with your resume so hiring managers can verify your specialty occupation eligibility without back-and-forth.
Target employers with active DOL LCA filings
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to find construction, infrastructure, and energy firms that have filed LCAs for project manager roles. Prior LCA activity signals an employer already understands the E-3 process, which shortens your path to an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find and filter sponsoring employers
Migrate Mate lets you search Electrical Project Manager roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship. Searching this way surfaces employers who have already committed to the process, so you spend your time on roles that can actually close.
Clarify the LCA scope before signing your offer letter
Your E-3 LCA is tied to a specific worksite location and job title. If your role involves managing projects across multiple states, ask the employer whether the LCA will cover all work locations or whether additional filings are needed before you accept.
Confirm your employer will file the LCA before your start date
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before you can attend your consulate appointment. Ask HR to confirm the filing timeline early in the offer process. USCIS does not set a mandatory lead time, but DOL certification typically takes seven business days if filed without errors.
Streamline the consulate process with end-to-end filing support
E-3 applications for project management roles often involve supporting documents for specialty occupation that are easy to get wrong. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA preparation, visa paperwork, and consulate appointment preparation so nothing is missing when you walk in.

Find Electrical Project Manager JobsElectrical Project Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Electrical Project Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Electrical Project Manager roles filtered for E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job searches surface roles without any indication of visa willingness, which wastes time. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have demonstrated sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on positions that can realistically lead to an E-3.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Electrical Project Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a closely related field as a standard entry requirement. Roles where any degree is accepted regardless of field, or where equivalent experience routinely substitutes for a degree, can face scrutiny. A job description that specifies a relevant engineering degree and professional project management responsibilities will support your specialty occupation case.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Electrical Project Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap, so you can apply any time of year and be approved within weeks of your offer. The H-1B requires entering a lottery in March for an October start date, and most registrations are not selected. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a faster and more predictable path to the same project management role.
Can I change employers or projects while on an E-3 as a project manager?
You can change employers on an E-3, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and your visa stamp will be tied to the original employer until you apply for a new one. If your project finishes early and you're moving to a new company, give yourself enough lead time for the LCA certification before your current status ends. There is a grace period of up to 60 days between jobs.
