Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Laundry
Document your laundry qualifications precisely
Gather transcripts, trade certifications, and reference letters that link your Australian credentials directly to the laundry or textile care role. U.S. consular officers need to see that your background meets specialty occupation standards, not just general experience.
Target employers with existing LCA history
Search the DOL's public disclosure data for employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for laundry or textile services roles. An employer with LCA filing experience moves through the sponsorship process faster and with fewer surprises.
Clarify specialty occupation standing early
The E-3 requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation, which can be a sticking point for some laundry positions. Raise this with the employer before an offer is extended so they understand what job duties and degree requirements need to be documented.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This reduces back-and-forth with the employer and ensures your consulate appointment is prepared correctly from the start.
Confirm the employer's E-Verify enrollment status
Ask whether the employer is enrolled in E-Verify before accepting an offer. E-Verify enrollment signals that the employer is familiar with work authorization requirements and can handle the administrative side of sponsoring your E-3 visa without delays.
Time your consulate appointment around your start date
The E-3 visa is typically processed at an Australian consulate within a few weeks, but schedule your appointment with enough lead time so your start date isn't at risk. Coordinate the LCA certification timeline with your employer before locking in a date.

How do I find laundry jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search for laundry roles where U.S. employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type or sponsorship willingness, so most Australian professionals waste time applying to roles where the employer has no process for supporting an E-3. Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities matched to your visa status.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a laundry role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined and what qualifications the employer requires. A general laundry attendant position typically won't meet the specialty occupation threshold, but a role requiring specialized knowledge in textile care, garment restoration, or industrial laundry management, backed by a relevant degree or equivalent, can qualify. The job description and required credentials are what USCIS and consular officers assess.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for laundry roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap, so you aren't competing for a limited number of slots the way H-1B applicants are. For laundry roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, an employer can file an E-3 LCA with the DOL at any time of year and you can attend a consulate appointment within weeks. The H-1B involves a lottery with a roughly 25 percent selection rate, meaning many applicants are denied before their case is even reviewed.
What happens to my E-3 status if I change laundry employers in the United States?
You can change employers, but the new employer needs to file a fresh LCA with the DOL before you start work. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer it. You'll typically need to either attend a new consulate appointment or apply for a change of status if you're already in the United States. Starting the process before your current role ends avoids any gap in work authorization.
