Translate your Australian gaming credentials
U.S. employers need to see how your Australian qualifications map to a specialty occupation. A hospitality, business, or operations management degree paired with documented gaming floor experience strengthens the specialty occupation case for your visa application.
Target casino groups with existing E-3 history
Large integrated resort operators and multi-property casino groups are more likely to have HR teams familiar with E-3 visa sponsorship. Search DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data to identify which employers have filed for hospitality and gaming roles.
Address the specialty occupation requirement early
Casino Floor Runner roles can face scrutiny as specialty occupations. Prepare a written summary showing how your degree field directly relates to the operational, compliance, and guest experience responsibilities of the role before your first employer conversation.
Clarify state gaming license requirements upfront
Every U.S. state with commercial casinos requires floor staff to hold a state gaming license. Ask your prospective employer which state license applies and whether they sponsor the application, since this process runs parallel to your E-3 filing timeline.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA step
The Labor Condition Application must be certified by the DOL before your visa interview. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing stalls between offer acceptance and your consulate appointment.
Time your consulate appointment around casino hiring cycles
Major U.S. casino operators hire heavily ahead of new property openings and peak seasons. Once your employer files the certified LCA, schedule your consulate interview promptly so your E-3 stamp is in hand before your intended start date.
E-3 Visa Casino Floor Runner: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Casino Floor Runner jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Casino Floor Runner roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Because the E-3 process requires employer participation in the LCA filing, targeting employers with prior sponsorship experience saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces roles and employer data relevant to Australian professionals specifically.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Casino Floor Runner role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, but it requires careful documentation. The E-3 specialty occupation standard requires that a bachelor's degree in a specific field is the normal minimum for the role. A degree in hospitality management, gaming management, or business operations, combined with a job description that emphasizes those disciplines, supports the specialty occupation classification. Generic floor attendant descriptions without degree requirements will not qualify.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Casino Floor Runner roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian nationals and has no lottery, which means your employer doesn't need to gamble on a random selection to hire you. The H-1B visa requires entering an oversubscribed annual lottery before any petition is filed. For gaming employers who need reliable hiring timelines, the E-3's predictable process is a practical advantage over the H-1B's March lottery window.
Can my E-3 status be affected if I transfer between casino properties?
Yes. The E-3 is employer-specific, so moving to a different casino property under the same parent company may still require a new LCA and updated visa documentation, depending on whether it constitutes a material change in employment. Transferring to a different employer always requires a fresh filing. Confirm with your employer's HR team before any property transfer takes effect.
