Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Student Success Coordinator
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Consular officers assess whether your specific degree field ties directly to student success work. A degree in education, psychology, or student affairs carries more weight than a general business degree, even if your experience is strong.
Target higher education and edtech employers
Universities, community colleges, and edtech platforms like bootcamps and online learning companies regularly sponsor E-3 visas for this role. Filter your search to institutions with established international hiring processes, since they already understand LCA requirements.
Confirm the role meets specialty occupation criteria
Before accepting an offer, verify the position description requires a specific bachelor's degree rather than any degree. Generic postings that list 'bachelor's degree preferred' can create problems at the consulate if specialty occupation isn't clearly established.
Use Migrate Mate to handle filing after your offer
Once you have a signed offer letter, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. It manages DOL certification, consulate prep, and document review so your employer doesn't need an in-house immigration team.
Get your credential equivalency documented early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees, but having a credential evaluation ready before interviews speeds up the LCA process and reassures employers unfamiliar with Australian qualifications.
Negotiate employer LCA filing into your offer timeline
The DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days in most cases, but your employer needs to initiate the process. Build LCA filing into your start date negotiation so the paperwork doesn't delay your consulate appointment.

Find Student Success Coordinator JobsStudent Success Coordinator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Student Success Coordinator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by E-3 sponsorship eligibility and shows employers with active LCA filing history for this type of position. Standard job boards don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor E-3 visas and those that won't, so you end up contacting companies that have no international hiring process in place.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Student Success Coordinator role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
It qualifies when the position requires a specific bachelor's degree in a field like education, counseling, student affairs, or psychology, and the job duties reflect that specialization. Roles defined broadly as requiring any bachelor's degree, or that emphasize general administrative tasks over advising or program development, are harder to support at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for this role?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap that restricts availability, so you can apply at any time of year after receiving a job offer. The H-1B selection rate has been below 30% in recent registration rounds, meaning most applicants don't get a slot regardless of qualifications. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a significantly more reliable path to the same type of role.
Can I switch employers on an E-3 while working in a Student Success Coordinator role?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL before you can start working for them. You don't need to leave the U.S. to change employers if your current E-3 status is valid, but you do need to wait for the new LCA to be certified and obtain an updated visa if your current stamp is tied to the previous employer.
