E-3 Visa Sales Intern Jobs
Sales Intern roles in the U.S. qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field like business, marketing, or communications. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so Australian nationals can start the process as soon as they have a job offer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Sales Intern
Frame your Australian degree for U.S. recruiters
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Include your degree field prominently on your resume so hiring managers can immediately confirm it maps to the sales intern role.
Target employers already familiar with LCA filing
Sales intern roles at mid-size to large U.S. companies are more likely to have HR teams that have processed Labor Condition Applications before. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data to identify companies that have filed LCAs for similar roles.
Confirm your role meets specialty occupation requirements
Not every sales intern position qualifies for an E-3. The role must normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. If the job description says 'degree preferred' rather than 'required,' push your employer to revise the language before the LCA is filed.
Ask about E-3 early in the offer conversation
Many U.S. employers know the H-1B but haven't heard of the E-3. Raise it yourself once you have a verbal offer, explaining there's no lottery and the employer cost is low. This prevents the process from stalling while HR researches whether sponsorship is possible.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
The LCA must be DOL-certified before you can attend your consulate appointment, and the sequence of steps is easy to get out of order. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, reducing back-and-forth with your employer.
Prepare your consulate documents before your appointment is booked
Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth consulates all require the certified LCA, a support letter from your employer, and DS-160 confirmation. Assembling these ahead of scheduling means you can take the earliest available slot rather than delaying while you gather paperwork.

Find Sales Intern JobsSales Intern E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find sales intern jobs in the U.S. with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search, as it filters specifically for employers willing to sponsor Australian nationals on the E-3 visa. The challenge with sales intern roles is that many postings don't mention visa sponsorship at all. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active E-3 or LCA filing history for sales and business development positions, saving you the step of qualifying each listing manually.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a sales intern role actually qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured. A sales intern position qualifies if the employer can demonstrate it normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Roles described as general sales support or customer service without a degree requirement won't qualify. The job description language matters: 'degree required' is the threshold, not 'degree preferred.'
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a sales intern position?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for sales intern roles. There's no annual lottery, so you don't risk losing the opportunity to a random draw. The employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL rather than a full I-129 petition with USCIS, which is faster and less costly. For a short-duration internship, the H-1B's six-month minimum processing window and lottery exposure make it impractical compared to the E-3's direct consulate pathway.
Can I convert a sales internship on an E-3 into a full-time role?
Yes. The E-3 is renewable indefinitely in two-year increments, so transitioning from intern to full-time employee on the same visa status is straightforward if the new role also meets the specialty occupation requirement. Your employer files a new LCA reflecting the updated job title and wage level, and you attend a consulate appointment to receive a new visa stamp. There's no cap or lottery involved at any stage.
