Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to join our engineering team at our Duluth, Georgia facility. Exceptional candidates residing outside Georgia will also be considered for remote positions.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving challenging hardware design problems and taking products from concept through qualification and production.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and avionics system design. In this dynamic role, you will lead complex electrical engineering design projects focused on aerospace applications, ensuring innovative, reliable, and compliant solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the design and modernization of military avionics systems incorporating FPGA/VHDL, digital, analog and RF circuitry, embedded processors and firmware, and advanced PCB designs, from initial architecture through prototype development, integration, testing, and qualification. Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, debug, and test FPGA-based embedded electronic systems for military avionics applications.
• Develop digital and analog circuit designs using Altium Designer.
• Design and implement FPGA logic using VHDL.
• Develop embedded processor-based hardware and supporting firmware interfaces.
• Participate in reverse engineering and redesign of legacy military electronics.
• Perform schematic reviews, design verification, hardware integration, and system-level debugging.
• Support qualification testing to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and other applicable military standards.
• Prepare engineering documentation including design reports, test procedures, qualification reports, and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
• Work directly with experienced engineers and DoD customers throughout the design and development process.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system failures or performance issues using oscilloscopes, logic state analyzers, signal processing techniques, debugging tools, and simulation software
• Perform system development verification through rigorous testing procedures and LabVIEW/PXI based test systems.

Qualifications:

• BSEE or MSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on electronic hardware design experience.
• Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL.
• Experience designing embedded processor-based systems.
• Experience with digital and analog circuit design.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and laboratory debugging skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, highly technical engineering team.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Military avionics or aerospace electronics
• Reverse engineering of legacy electronic hardware
• Xilinx FPGA development
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP), including FPGA-based implementation of signal-processing algorithms
• ARM or MicroBlaze embedded processors
• Power supply and DC-DC converter design
• MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet, RS-422/485, CAN, or other embedded communication interfaces
• EMI/EMC design and qualification
• LabVIEW-based automated test equipment (ATE/ATS)
• C/C++ embedded software development

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. An active clearance is not required at the time of application.
