About the Role:
The Licensed Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within the hospital and external clinics. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and technical schematics to deliver high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds industry standards. The electrician will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance. The role demands troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical issues accurately and implement effective solutions promptly. Ultimately, the Licensed Electrician contributes to creating safe, reliable, and energy-efficient electrical infrastructures that support the daily operations and long-term goals of clients and organizations throughout the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by the state of Oklahoma.
- Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience working as a licensed electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four years of work experience in a work-related field preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced electrical systems, including automation, control systems, and smart technologies.
- Electrical Contractor’s License preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or supervisory roles in electrical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Oversees local inside as well as large outside contracted projects for adherence to code, specification, and safety aspects.
- Conduct inspections and testing of electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Collaborate with construction teams and other trades to ensure electrical systems are integrated properly within building projects.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Document work performed, including materials used and time spent, to maintain accurate job records.
- Performs preventive maintenance and checks as directed.

The Licensed Electrician utilizes technical skills daily to interpret complex electrical schematics and apply them accurately during installations and repairs. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential for diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions quickly to minimize downtime. Communication skills are important for coordinating with team members, clients, and other trades to ensure project success and safety compliance.
