Duties
- Lead service calls, assess electrical issues, and troubleshoot electrical systems using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and other appropriate tools.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and high-voltage electrical wiring in residential and commercial settings.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work, identify components, and complete repairs or renovations.
- Use hand tools and power tools, follow electrical safety procedures, and ensure work meets the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70, and applicable local electrical codes.
Requirements
- Residential or commercial electrician experience, with specialized electrical experience in service, construction, or renovation settings.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting; able to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70 compliance, local electrical codes, and safe work practices, including work involving high voltage.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, a voltmeter, and an ohmmeter safely and effectively.
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
