Journeyman Electrician – Palomino Valley Electric
Palomino Valley Electric is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in Northern Nevada.
We perform a wide variety of electrical work including high-end custom homes, residential and commercial service, generators, remodels, service upgrades, EV chargers, lighting systems, and commercial projects.
We are looking for someone who can independently run jobs, troubleshoot electrical systems, lead apprentices, and take pride in producing clean, professional work.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial electrical installations
- Run service calls and troubleshoot electrical problems
- Read and understand electrical plans and specifications
- Install and terminate panels, services, generators, ATSs, EV chargers, lighting, and electrical equipment
- Install and bend EMT and other raceways
- Lead and train apprentices/helpers
- Plan jobs and communicate material needs
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Identify additional work and potential change orders before proceeding
- Complete accurate job notes and photos
- Properly test completed installations
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment
Qualifications
- Journeyman-level electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of the NEC
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and run jobs
- Ability to read electrical and construction plans
- Experience bending and installing conduit
- Valid driver's license and clean/acceptable driving record
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable and able to show up on time and prepared for work
- Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, attics, crawl spaces, and other typical electrical work environments
