About the job
The Technology Services and Enablement division is looking for a Principal Embedded Technical Customer Advisor to serve as a deeply embedded technical partner for strategic customers. In this highly visible, hands-on role, you will work within customer environments to translate business challenges into system designs, proofs of value and scalable SAS architectures.
You will collaborate closely with customer engineering, operations and leadership teams to validate SAS technology, optimize solutions and guide long-term platform evolution. Your work will help customers achieve measurable outcomes while supporting adoption, retention, expanded usage and growth.
- Conduct deep-dive workshops to map customers’ current operational environments and define an evolving SAS ecosystem aligned with their needs.
- Serve as an on-site subject matter expert, recommending best practices that maximize the value, usage and usability of SAS solutions.
- Develop and deliver technically rigorous demonstrations, prototypes and proofs of value using customer data and use cases.
- Partner with Account Executives to plan and implement customer retention, post-sale adoption and expansion strategies.
- Configure SAS solutions and supporting products for validation, knowledge sharing and demonstration purposes.
- Coordinate with sales, pre-sales, technical support, product management and partners to implement and optimize solutions in customer environments.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of SAS offerings, third-party technologies, competitive information and industry trends, and apply that knowledge to customer opportunities.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, business, computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in technical sales, solutions architecture, systems engineering, application development, project management, customer advisory, or related technical customer-facing roles.
- Proven experience influencing executive and technical stakeholders within large Financial Services organizations, including Technology, Operations, Data & Analytics, and Line of Business leadership teams.
- Proficiency in technical change enablement, user adoption frameworks, and value realization tracking (e.g., establishing usage KPIs, post-sale enablement roadmaps, and center-of-excellence structures).
- Expertise in detecting fast-moving consumer fraud vectors across digital channels. Knowledge of cross-channel behavioral profiling to evaluate transactions in milliseconds while minimizing false positives and customer friction.
- Experience integrating adaptive analytics into enterprise decisioning engines to respond dynamically to evolving consumer fraud tactics.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, Data Officers, Risk Officers, or Line of Business Leaders, with a demonstrated ability to align technology investments to business outcomes
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
