Overview
Solaris Paper is a North American towel and tissue manufacturer. We are seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for managing and expanding key central regional accounts and driving growth across the assigned territory. This role focuses on developing territory-specific business plans, strengthening customer relationships, leading negotiations, and delivering sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies for Solaris and FIORA retail lines, aligned with overall company retail strategy.
- Own sales plans and forecasts for assigned regional accounts; meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets.
- Manage and grow strategic relationships with major regional retailers, distributors, and channel partners involved in private-label and branded programs.
- Identify and cultivate key customer contacts, including buyers, category managers, supply chain, finance, and regional leadership teams.
- Lead customer meetings and business reviews, presenting category insights, program performance, pricing proposals, and new product or platform opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, promotional programs, and contract terms in alignment with internal finance, marketing, and leadership guidance.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred
- 5–7+ years of Retail, CPG, Food and Beverage, or Private Label Sales experience managing regional or multi-state accounts (FMCG preferred)
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office)
- Proven track record as a hunter–builder capable of expanding existing business and securing new opportunities
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex customer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Home-based remote, but you must reside in Greater Chicago
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
