Entry Level Fashion Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level fashion job?
Focus on building a portfolio that shows your aesthetic range and any hands-on project work, whether from coursework, internships, or personal styling projects. Employers at this level look for candidates who understand current trends, can work collaboratively, and demonstrate attention to detail. Internship experience, even unpaid or academic, gives you a real edge when your resume is light on full-time history.
Which companies hire entry level fashions?
Companies hiring entry level fashions right now include Walmart, Power Digital Marketing, and Fendi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring covers established retail brands, boutique labels, and fashion-adjacent companies in e-commerce and wholesale, all of which routinely open junior roles to candidates just starting out.
Are there remote entry level fashion jobs?
Yes, though most fashion roles at this level are on-site or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 17% of entry level fashion openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated in areas like digital merchandising, social content, and e-commerce styling where collaboration happens primarily online.
Are these new grad fashion jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles suited to candidates who are just entering the industry. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic project work in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates to apply with a portfolio rather than a long resume.
Which industries hire the most entry level fashions?
Entry Level fashion roles concentrate in Retail, Education, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive junior hiring because they cycle through seasonal collections, expand digital channels, and rely on fresh talent to support styling, production, and merchandising teams year-round.
