Finance Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's three strongest hiring pockets: the corporate finance teams clustered in Buckhead and Midtown, the healthcare finance functions anchored around Emory, Piedmont, and WellStar, and the supply chain and logistics finance roles tied to the port-adjacent distribution sector south of the city. Candidates who pair a CPA or CFA credential with FP&A or ERP system experience tend to move faster through local hiring pipelines than those with generalist backgrounds.
Which companies hire finance managers in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring finance managers in Atlanta include The Home Depot, Deloitte, and PwC, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's employer mix is broad, ranging from Fortune 500 headquarters and regional banks in Buckhead to large nonprofit health systems and fast-growing technology firms based in Midtown and the Westside.
Are there remote finance manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though it depends on the role type. Finance manager positions that center on reporting, FP&A modeling, and financial systems work tend to be more remote-friendly than those requiring hands-on oversight of accounting teams or physical operations. About 34% of finance manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid schedules most common among corporate headquarters roles in Buckhead and Midtown.
How can I get a finance manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving up from a senior financial analyst or accounting supervisor role within the same organization rather than applying to finance manager positions externally. Atlanta's large healthcare systems, including Emory Healthcare and Piedmont, along with its regional banking institutions, regularly promote internal candidates into manager-level finance roles. Building experience with ERP platforms common in Atlanta, such as SAP and Workday, and earning a CPA while still in an analyst role significantly improves your positioning for that next step.
Which industries hire the most finance managers in Atlanta?
Atlanta finance manager roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Retail, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional corporate headquarters hub, a major healthcare delivery market, and one of the Southeast's largest logistics and distribution centers creates consistent, cross-sector demand for finance management talent throughout the year.
