Credit Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a credit manager in Georgia?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business, followed by several years in credit analysis or accounts receivable. Georgia has no state-issued license required to work as a credit manager, but employers strongly favor candidates who hold or are pursuing credentials from the National Association of Credit Management, such as the Credit Business Associate or Certified Credit Executive designations. These credentials signal professional depth and are widely recognized by Atlanta-area employers.
Which companies hire credit managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring credit managers in Georgia right now include Farmers Home Furniture, A Team Leasing, and Rent-A-Center, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, logistics firms, and large healthcare systems means credit manager openings appear across a wider range of industries than most states.
Which Georgia cities have the most credit manager jobs?
Atlanta, Newnan, and Toccoa have the most credit manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it is home to major corporate headquarters, regional bank operations, and large wholesale distributors, while Savannah's concentration of port-linked logistics companies and Augusta's healthcare and manufacturing base generate consistent demand in those markets.
How can I get hired as a credit manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a credit analyst or accounts receivable specialist role, which large Atlanta-area employers in financial services, distribution, and healthcare regularly hire for at the junior level. Companies like Genuine Parts Company and Southern Company run structured finance rotational programs that move high-performing analysts into credit oversight within a few years. Earning the Credit Business Associate designation early and gaining hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle financials gives candidates a measurable edge when applying for first-time manager roles.
Where can I find and apply to credit manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to credit manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and other Georgia markets. Find roles that match your experience and apply directly to the ones that fit.
