Financial Analyst Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a financial analyst job in Seattle?
Target Seattle's dominant hiring sectors: enterprise technology, life sciences, and regional banking. The highest concentration of roles sits in the Central Business District and South Lake Union, with a secondary cluster in Bellevue and Redmond. Candidates with experience in SaaS revenue modeling, healthcare cost analysis, or commercial real estate finance stand out in this market. Networking through the CFA Society Seattle and local finance meetups also moves candidates ahead of online-only applicants.
Which companies hire financial analysts in Seattle?
Companies currently hiring financial analysts in Seattle include Amazon, Blue Origin, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's market is unusually broad, mixing large-cap tech employers with regional banks, health systems, and growth-stage startups, so analyst roles here vary significantly in scope and seniority.
Are there remote financial analyst jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: financial analysts doing forecasting, reporting, and modeling work remotely more often than those embedded in treasury, investment banking, or operations finance teams. About 43% of financial analyst openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting strong adoption among Seattle's tech and healthcare employers. Hybrid arrangements are most common in corporate FP&A and investor relations roles.
How can I get a financial analyst job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is through rotational finance programs at the city's large technology and healthcare employers, which regularly bring in recent graduates for two-year analyst tracks. Roles like junior financial analyst, finance operations coordinator, and business analyst at mid-size tech firms in South Lake Union and Bellevue also serve as common stepping stones. A strong Excel and data visualization skill set, paired with a finance or accounting degree from a Washington-state university, gives local candidates a practical edge.
Which industries hire the most financial analysts in Seattle?
Most financial analyst openings in Seattle sit in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's outsized technology sector and its concentration of major health systems and regional banks create sustained, year-round demand that is broader than most comparably sized U.S. cities.
