Entry Level Financial Reporting Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level financial reporting manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, or coursework in financial statement preparation and general ledger reconciliation. Familiarity with tools like Excel, QuickBooks, or ERP systems gives candidates a real edge. Certifications such as a CPA track or CMA candidacy signal commitment and stand out on a junior applicant's resume.
Which companies hire entry level financial reporting managers?
Companies hiring entry level financial reporting managers right now include Jobot, CIM, and Ralph Lauren, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a wide mix of employers, including large corporations building out their accounting teams, mid-size firms replacing junior staff, and public companies with ongoing SEC reporting requirements.
Are there remote entry level financial reporting manager jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still lean toward on-site or hybrid arrangements. About 27% of entry level financial reporting manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates with reliable home office setups and experience using cloud-based accounting software have a solid pool of flexible options to target.
Are these new grad financial reporting manager jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists zero to two years of experience as sufficient, accepts internship or practicum work as qualifying experience, or invites candidates who can demonstrate skills through a portfolio or academic projects rather than full-time tenure.
Which industries hire the most entry level financial reporting managers?
Entry Level financial reporting manager roles concentrate in Retail, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they carry significant compliance, audit, and financial disclosure obligations that require dedicated junior reporting staff to support senior accountants and controllers.
