Financial Services Account Executive Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial services account executive in Kentucky?
The most direct path is earning a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field and then obtaining the required Kentucky insurance producer license through the Kentucky Department of Insurance, which requires passing the state licensing exam administered by Pearson VUE. Roles focused on securities products also require FINRA licensing such as the Series 6 or Series 63. Many candidates enter through inside sales or financial analyst positions at Kentucky banks, insurers, or broker-dealers before moving into an account executive role.
Which companies hire financial services account executives in Kentucky?
Companies currently hiring financial services account executives in Kentucky include Tempur + Sealy, State Farm, and Bank of America, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kentucky's concentration of health insurance carriers, regional banks, and commercial lending institutions means hiring tends to be steady even outside peak recruitment seasons.
Which Kentucky cities have the most financial services account executive jobs?
Lexington, Louisville, and Edgewood have the most financial services account executive openings in Kentucky. Louisville dominates due to its headquarters concentration in health insurance and regional banking, including major carriers and Fifth Third Bank, while Lexington draws hiring from wealth management and commercial lending firms serving central Kentucky's business community, and Northern Kentucky benefits from proximity to the Cincinnati metro financial services market.
Are there remote financial services account executive jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and they are more common than in many sales roles because account executives in financial services often manage relationships by phone, video, and email rather than on a shop floor. About 44% of financial services account executive openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which reflects genuine flexibility in this profession. Group benefits, managed care sales, and commercial insurance lines tend to offer the most fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a financial services account executive in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a financial sales associate or account coordinator role at one of Kentucky's large health insurers or regional banks, such as Humana's Louisville campus or Fifth Third Bank's Kentucky branches, which run structured onboarding programs for early-career candidates. Completing your Kentucky insurance producer license before applying sets you apart immediately. Adjacent roles like financial analyst, client services representative, or benefits administrator also provide a recognized bridge into account executive positions for candidates without direct sales experience.
Where can I find and apply to financial services account executive jobs in Kentucky?
