Focus on Kansas City's insurance carriers, regional banks, and independent wealth management firms, which drive the highest volume of account executive openings locally. Jobs concentrate in Crown Center, the Crossroads district, and along the I-435 corridor in Overland Park and Leawood. A Series 6, Series 7, or Series 65 license sharpens your competitiveness, and experience with mid-market or agricultural clients is a genuine differentiator in this market.

About 70% of financial services account executive openings tied to Kansas City are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with flexibility most common in inside sales and renewals-focused positions rather than new business development roles.
How can I get a financial services account executive job in Kansas City with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path locally is through a financial services associate or sales development role at one of Kansas City's regional insurers or community banks, where structured training programs regularly feed into account executive positions. Firms in Overland Park and Leawood often hire entry-level candidates with strong communication skills and a willingness to pursue licensing on the job, making those suburbs a practical starting point.
