SUMMARY

ORR Protection is a growing, family-owned fire protection company dedicated to protecting people, property, and the environment. We are seeking a Service Sales Account Manager based in Tampa, FL.

The Service Sales Account Manager will grow recurring inspection, testing, maintenance, and monitoring sales for electronic and mechanical life safety systems, including fire alarms, fire suppression, and special hazards systems. This outside sales role focuses on finding new customers, building relationships, developing solutions, and closing business. The position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped earning potential, and the flexibility to work from home when not traveling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Embody ORR Protection’s mission to protect people, property, and the environment.

• Identify and pursue new business with customers in data centers, energy and power generation, industrial, manufacturing, telecommunications, cable and broadband, and other mission-critical facilities.

• Generate leads through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and industry events.

• Build relationships with decision makers, assess their needs, and develop cost-effective service solutions.

• Grow business with existing customers by identifying additional service opportunities.

• Partner with Operations to develop and review proposals and contracts.

• Negotiate and close sales of varying complexity, contract length, and value.

• Work toward an annual goal in testing, inspection and monitoring service contract bookings.

• Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity in the CRM.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• At least three years of sales experience required.

• Experience in fire protection or a related industry preferred. Related industries include construction, building controls, and services for mission-critical facilities.

• NICET Fire Alarm certification preferred.

• SPIN Selling or Challenger sales training preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong prospecting, networking, negotiation, and closing skills.

• Confidence initiating contact with prospective customers.

• Ability to communicate with decision makers at all levels of a business.

• Customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Sound problem-solving, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage a sales territory and consistently work toward goals.

• Proficiency with MS Office and experience using Salesforce preferred.

• Willingness to learn ORR’s services and apply that knowledge to customer needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Travel up to 35–40% of the time, including occasional overnight trips, to visit customers, conduct visual site surveys, and develop the territory.

• Work from home when not traveling or meeting with customers.

• All associates are required to pass a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle report.
