Our data and simulation platforms are only as valuable as what people can do with them. In this role, you will own the product surface on top of those platforms — the web applications, APIs, and backend services that autonomy and ML engineers, operations and road-test teams, and external partners use to find data, author and run simulations, and act on the results. You will work across the full stack, from relational data models and Python services to modern TypeScript interfaces, turning ambiguous engineering workflows into tools people rely on every day. We welcome engineers from product, web platform, or developer-tooling backgrounds; prior autonomous-vehicle experience is helpful but not required.
We are open to candidates at either the Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer level. Level will be determined by experience, technical depth, scope of ownership, and demonstrated impact. You do not need experience with every technology in our stack; we value strong fundamentals, ownership, and the ability to learn.
Responsibilities:
Design and ship fullstack applications end to end: Python services and REST APIs, relational data modeling, asynchronous jobs, modern TypeScript frontend interfaces, deployment, testing, observability, and production reliability
Build scenario authoring and management tools, including interactive editors for creating, parameterizing, and versioning test scenarios, and reproducible scenario libraries shared across teams
Build interfaces for large-scale simulation and drive-log replay: launching and tracking runs, browsing results, comparing regressions across releases, and triaging failures down to individual scenarios
Build shared application foundations — authentication, access control, multi-tenancy, and API conventions — that serve internal engineers, operations teams, and external partners from one coherent platform
Ensure that your work is performed in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills:
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Production fullstack experience spanning backend services and REST APIs, relational data modeling and SQL, and modern frontend development (e.g., React/TypeScript)
Working proficiency in Python for services, libraries, and tooling
Ability to work directly with users to turn ambiguous engineering workflows into simple, reliable interfaces
Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership: a quick learner who is eager to take responsibility and drive projects forward end to end
Preferred Skills:
Experience building interactive or visual web-based tooling, such as canvas, WebGL, Electron, or map- and geometry-based editing
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for deploying and operating web services
Experience presenting large datasets, time-series, or log data behind responsive interfaces
Experience building user behavior tracking and analysis into web products: instrumenting frontend/backend telemetry, and analyzing usage data to guide product iteration.
Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or simulation and scenario-based testing
Experience with data visualization at scale
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Full-stack Software Engineer Jobs in Santa Clara: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a full-stack software engineer job in Santa Clara?
Your best angle in Santa Clara is targeting the semiconductor ecosystem and enterprise infrastructure companies that dominate the city. Roles here lean heavily on experience with embedded systems interfaces, cloud-native backend architecture, and high-performance frontend tooling. Candidates who can demonstrate work on products shipped at hardware-software boundaries stand out. Networking through local IEEE and ACM chapters and attending events tied to Santa Clara's convention center tech conferences builds direct employer connections faster than applying cold.
Which companies hire full-stack software engineers in Santa Clara?
Santa Clara full-stack software engineer roles are posted by NVIDIA, Ampere Computing, and Palo Alto Networks and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Santa Clara's hiring base skews toward large semiconductor firms, enterprise networking companies, and mid-size SaaS vendors building developer-facing tooling.
Are there remote full-stack software engineer jobs in Santa Clara?
Yes, full-stack software engineering is well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements given that most of the work happens in code editors, CI pipelines, and collaborative dev tools rather than on-site hardware. About 50% of full-stack software engineer openings tied to Santa Clara are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the remote share highest in product and API development roles rather than roles requiring on-site hardware integration.
How can I get a full-stack software engineer job in Santa Clara with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Santa Clara is landing a junior or associate engineer role at one of the city's mid-size SaaS or enterprise software vendors, which tend to run structured internship-to-hire pipelines more than the largest semiconductor firms do. Roles labeled associate software engineer, software engineer I, or frontend engineer at companies in the Kifer Road and Mission College corridor frequently accept candidates with strong portfolio projects and relevant internships. Completing open-source contributions that touch cloud or API work gives local hiring managers something concrete to evaluate.
Which industries hire the most full-stack software engineers in Santa Clara?
Most full-stack software engineer openings in Santa Clara sit in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Science & Research, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Santa Clara's concentration of semiconductor giants, enterprise networking vendors, and cloud infrastructure companies drives that demand, as each sector needs engineers who can connect backend services to complex, performance-sensitive frontends.
