Green Card Corporate Accountant Jobs
Corporate Accountant roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM labor certification, which requires employers to document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 petition. Finance and accounting departments at mid-size and large companies regularly sponsor foreign professionals, making this one of the more accessible paths to permanent residency in business services.

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly technical, energized Senior Accountant to support the full-cycle accounting for our multi-branded, private equity-backed platform. As we double in size annually, the "Office of the CFO" requires a leader who possesses uncompromising integrity, professional maturity, and a high degree of candor. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional who ensures deadlines for the month-end financial close are met timely and accurately. Beyond technical proficiency, we look for "culture carriers"—individuals who maintain a championship-team mentality, stay "mentally present" in every interaction, and proactively protect the integrity of our financial data and team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial Integrity: Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Full-Cycle Execution: Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue (royalty billing/collections), and expense entries; maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by resolving discrepancies.
- Strategic Variance Analysis: Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position variance analyses; possesses intimate knowledge of various entities to explain or correct discrepancies.
- Proactive Communication: Maintains a standard of radical transparency with leadership; identifies potential bottlenecks or risks to the Close timeline and communicates them proactively rather than reactively.
- Team Presence & Energy: Actively engages in daily stand-ups and collaborative sessions; contributes to a high-performance floor culture by remaining solution-oriented and professional even during high-pressure cycles.
- Operational Agility: Takes initiative as a self-starter to meet multiple deadlines in stressful situations; makes time for unplanned assignments and adapts quickly to changing priorities under the PE-sponsor model.
- Policy Compliance: Follows all company policies and procedures, serving as a model for Unleashed’s Core Values and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3–4 years of full-cycle accounting or public accounting experience.
- Integrity & Reliability: A proven track record of professional candor and reliability. Understands that in accounting, integrity is binary; possesses the maturity to provide honest status updates at all times.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Great Plains).
- Adaptability: Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where "playing as a championship team" means supporting others during peak periods.
- Presence: Ability to maintain a consistent in-office presence (4 days/week) and provide "all-hands" support during business-critical deadlines. Full-time 40 hour workweek with over-time as considered necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of audit experience at a regional or national CPA firm.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365 F&O, or OneStream.
- Graduate degree in Accounting or active CPA license.
Other Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Availability: Ability to work overtime or weekends as necessary to complete business-critical assignments, particularly during month-end close and audit cycles.
- Collaborative Commitment: A commitment to the mission-focused approach of Unleashed Brands, defaulting to trust through consistent performance and transparent communication.
Perks
- Paid bi-weekly
- Company Paid Holidays
- Flexible Paid Time Off
- Paid Parental Leave
- Multiple health care insurance plans that cover medical, dental, prescription, vision, and employer HSA contributions
- Competitive 401(k) Program with employer matching contributions

Align your credentials with PERM requirements
PERM labor certification ties your green card to a specific job description. Make sure your academic transcripts, CPA license, or equivalent foreign credentials are evaluated and match the minimum requirements the employer lists in the PERM audit file.
Target employers with dedicated immigration infrastructure
Companies that file PERM applications regularly have in-house HR teams or retained immigration counsel, which shortens your timeline. Look for accounting and finance roles at publicly traded companies, Big Four affiliates, and multinational manufacturers over boutique firms.
Search green card sponsorship jobs on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Corporate Accountant roles by employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, saving you from applying to positions where the employer has never run a PERM process before.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiations
DOL requires employers to pay at least the prevailing wage for your specific job title, location, and experience level. Check the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer so your proposed salary clears the required wage threshold the employer must certify.
Ask employers about EB-2 versus EB-3 category placement
Corporate Accountant roles can qualify under EB-3 for positions requiring a bachelor's degree, or EB-2 if the employer justifies an advanced degree requirement. Your country of birth affects which category gives you a faster priority date, so confirm the intended category during offer discussions.
Understand that PERM restarts if you change employers
Unlike H-1B visa, PERM certification is employer-specific and non-transferable until your I-140 has been approved for 180 days under AC21 portability rules. Changing jobs before that milestone means your sponsoring employer must restart the entire labor certification process.
Green Card Corporate Accountant: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Corporate Accountant role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Corporate Accountant positions typically qualify under EB-3 when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. EB-2 sponsorship is possible if the employer can justify that the role genuinely requires a master's degree or equivalent advanced credentials. Your sponsoring employer makes this determination when drafting the PERM job description, so the classification depends on how the role is defined internally.
How is the green card PERM process different from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 85,000 new approvals per year and subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap on approvals and leads to permanent residency, not a temporary work period. The tradeoff is time: the PERM labor certification, I-140 petition, and adjustment of status process typically spans two to four years before a green card is issued, longer than most H-1B approvals.
How do I find Corporate Accountant employers that actively sponsor green cards?
Use Migrate Mate to search Corporate Accountant roles filtered by employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history. Targeting employers who have completed PERM filings before is far more efficient than applying broadly and asking recruiters about sponsorship willingness during initial screening calls.
Can I switch employers during the green card process without losing my place in line?
You can change employers without losing your priority date under AC21 portability rules, but only after your I-140 petition has been approved and has been pending for at least 180 days, and the new role must be in the same or similar occupational classification. Switching before the I-140 is approved means your new employer must file a fresh PERM application, restarting the entire process.
Does having a CPA license or foreign accounting credential improve my green card prospects?
A CPA license or credential from a recognized foreign accounting body strengthens your PERM file by demonstrating you meet or exceed the minimum requirements the employer certifies. For EB-2 consideration, professional credentials combined with years of specialized experience can sometimes substitute for a master's degree. USCIS evaluates foreign credentials through a combination of employer documentation and, when needed, third-party credential evaluation reports.
