Patient Registrar Green Card Jobs
Patient Registrar roles at hospitals and health systems can qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which permanently ties your status to the employer rather than a temporary visa. Sponsorship requires your employer to document recruitment efforts and certify that no qualified U.S. worker was displaced before filing your I-140 petition.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Patient Registrar
Verify your credentials meet EB-3 requirements
EB-3 skilled worker classification requires at least two years of training or experience. Gather documentation of any healthcare administration coursework, medical terminology certifications, or prior registration work before approaching employers about sponsorship.
Target health systems with PERM filing history
Large hospital networks and academic medical centers file PERM applications far more regularly than independent clinics. Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data by occupation to identify employers who have previously sponsored Patient Registrar or healthcare support roles.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Patient Registrar roles and green card sponsorship status on Migrate Mate to find employers actively filing I-140 petitions. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who have no PERM infrastructure in place.
Clarify sponsorship timing during the offer stage
PERM requires the employer to pay the prevailing wage at the time your green card is approved, not just when you were hired. Ask HR whether the offer letter reflects the DOL wage level documented in the Labor Condition Application to avoid a wage gap at approval.
Check the prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the DOL prevailing wage for Patient Registrar roles in the specific metropolitan area where the job is located. Your offered wage must meet or exceed this figure for PERM certification to proceed without a DOL audit.
Understand how EB-3 priority dates affect your timeline
For most countries outside India and China, EB-3 priority dates are current or close to current, meaning your wait from I-140 approval to adjustment of status can be under two years. Check the USCIS Visa Bulletin monthly once your I-140 is approved.

Find Patient Registrar JobsPatient Registrar Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Patient Registrar role qualify for an employment-based green card?
Yes. Patient Registrar positions typically qualify under the EB-3 skilled worker category, which covers roles requiring at least two years of training or experience. Employers must complete PERM labor certification through the DOL before filing the I-140 petition with USCIS, demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker was available for the position.
How does EB-3 green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation with a direct degree requirement, which can be difficult to establish for Patient Registrar positions. EB-3 has no annual lottery, no cap pressure at most nationalities, and leads to permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary status. The tradeoff is a longer overall timeline, typically two to four years from PERM filing to a green card for most countries.
What documentation should I gather before asking an employer to sponsor my green card?
Collect proof of any relevant education, healthcare administration or medical terminology certifications, and prior employment records showing at least two years of related experience. If you hold a foreign credential, consider getting it evaluated by a NACES-approved agency so your employer's immigration counsel can confirm EB-3 eligibility before initiating the PERM process.
How do I find Patient Registrar jobs where the employer already sponsors green cards?
Most job postings don't specify green card sponsorship availability, so searching by job title alone misses the relevant employers. Migrate Mate aggregates employer green card filing history alongside job listings, letting you filter directly for Patient Registrar roles at employers with active EB-3 sponsorship programs rather than asking about sponsorship after interviews.
Does my employer have to keep paying me through the entire PERM and I-140 process?
Yes. You must remain continuously employed with the sponsoring employer in the same or a comparable role throughout the PERM and I-140 stages. If you leave before your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days, you generally cannot port the petition to a new employer under AC21 portability rules and would need to restart the process.
