Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Training Coordinator
Match your credentials to PERM requirements
The PERM audit compares your foreign degree to the posted job requirements. Get a credential evaluation confirming your degree aligns with the training or instructional design field the employer specified, before the I-140 stage.
Target employers with active PERM filings
Use the OFLC Wage Search to identify companies that have filed PERM applications for training-related job titles. Employers already in the system understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-filing.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Training Coordinator roles by employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you skip companies unfamiliar with PERM and focus on those who've sponsored professionals in similar roles before.
Clarify the degree field with your employer early
PERM requires the job description to specify a qualifying degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Confirm your employer's HR team writes the posting to match your credential field, whether that's instructional design, workforce development, or education.
Understand how EB-3 timelines affect your job offer
Most Training Coordinator roles file under EB-3. For nationals of many countries, priority dates are current, meaning USCIS can approve your I-485 without a long wait. Confirm your country's cutoff date in the monthly Visa Bulletin before accepting an offer.
Prepare your O*NET documentation early
DOL cross-references your job duties against the O*NET occupational profile for Training Coordinators during PERM review. Document that your daily responsibilities align with the listed tasks, especially curriculum development and program evaluation, to reduce audit risk.

Find Training Coordinator JobsTraining Coordinator Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Training Coordinator role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Training Coordinator positions typically qualify under EB-3, which covers skilled workers and professionals requiring a bachelor's degree. EB-2 applies when the role genuinely requires an advanced degree or the employer can justify it. Most companies file under EB-3 because the standard education requirement for this title is a four-year degree in education, human resources, or instructional design.
How is the green card PERM process different from H-1B sponsorship for a Training Coordinator?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant visa with an annual cap and lottery, while PERM leads to permanent residency with no cap at the EB-3 level for most nationalities. The PERM process involves DOL labor market testing first, then an I-140 petition, then adjustment of status or consular processing. The timeline is longer, typically two to four years for most applicants, but the outcome is a green card, not a temporary status.
What does the PERM labor certification process look like for this role?
Your employer conducts a supervised recruitment campaign to show no qualified U.S. workers are available for the Training Coordinator position. DOL reviews the job description, the degree requirement, the prevailing wage, and the recruitment results before certifying the application. Employers must pay you at least the prevailing wage determined through the OFLC Wage Search for your geographic area and job level.
Where can I find Training Coordinator jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for employment-based green card job searches. You can filter Training Coordinator openings by employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, which removes the guesswork of asking employers whether they'll sponsor. Companies in healthcare systems, large manufacturers, and enterprise tech tend to have established PERM filing infrastructure for this role.
Can I switch jobs after my employer files the PERM application?
You can change employers after USCIS approves your I-140 and your priority date has been pending for 180 days or more, under AC21 portability rules. The new job must be in the same or a similar occupational classification, which for Training Coordinators generally means staying in a training, instructional design, or workforce development function. Changing employers before those thresholds typically requires restarting the PERM process.
