- Review weekly delivery status with the Supply Chain Brand Manager and Merchandising teams, identifying risks and required adjustments.
- Review compliance chargebacks for late bookings, handovers, or deliveries (for DDP shipments) and track outcomes.
Quality, Testing Review & Issue Escalation
- Review failed garment testing and inspection reports, identify risks, and escalate issues to the Manager.
- Gather relevant information to present to internal teams for determining corrective actions based on testing or inspection results.
- Bubble up production issues to management and assist in researching root causes and potential resolutions.
What You Bring
- 2-4 years of experience in production, merchandising operations, or a related function with direct exposure to vendors and purchase order management.

- Ability to interpret garment testing and inspection reports and translate findings into actionable next steps for Production or Product Development.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors, maintaining clear communication to support deadlines and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and deliver against production milestones.

Verify your degree field matches the role
H-1B approval hinges on your degree being directly related to the Production Associate position. Check the O*NET profile for this occupation to confirm which fields USCIS typically accepts before applying.
Search LCA filings by job title
Use the OFLC Wage Search to filter certified LCAs by job title and state. Employers who filed LCAs for Production Associate roles have already committed to sponsoring at the prevailing wage, making them your strongest targets.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsors
Search Production Associate openings on Migrate Mate to see which employers have active H-1B filing history for this role. That filing history tells you far more than a job listing's vague 'visa sponsorship available' language.
Confirm employer E-Verify enrollment before accepting
H-1B employers must be E-Verify participants if you're changing status from another visa. Ask HR directly before your offer stage, not after, so delays don't push you into cap-gap territory.
Request premium processing before your start date
Standard I-129 adjudication can stretch beyond five months. Ask your employer to elect premium processing so USCIS issues a decision within 15 business days, giving both sides certainty before onboarding.
Document production credentials in USCIS-compatible format
Lean Manufacturing certifications, Six Sigma credentials, and equipment-specific training letters support your specialty occupation argument. Compile these before the petition stage so your employer's attorney can attach them to the I-129 package.
H-1B Visa Production Associate: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Production Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
It depends on how the employer defines the position. A Production Associate role qualifies as a specialty occupation if the employer requires at least a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a closely related field. Roles where a general high school diploma or any degree is acceptable typically won't meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. Ask for the job's educational requirement in writing before applying.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most often for Production Associate positions?
Automotive parts manufacturers, semiconductor fabricators, medical device companies, and consumer electronics firms file LCAs for Production Associate roles with the most regularity. These industries rely on technical degree holders for process control, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing functions. You can verify which specific employers have filed for this job title using Migrate Mate, which surfaces DOL LCA filing history by role.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for a Production Associate H-1B?
Your employer must pay you at least the DOL prevailing wage for the Production Associate role in the specific metro area where you'll work. The wage level depends on the job's duties and the local labor market. You can look up applicable wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer to confirm the salary meets H-1B requirements.
Can I switch to a different employer's H-1B while working as a Production Associate?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file a noncap H-1B transfer petition, without waiting for approval, as long as your current H-1B is valid and the new petition is filed before it expires. The new employer's Production Associate role must also qualify as a specialty occupation.
How do I find Production Associate jobs where the employer will sponsor H-1B?
Generic job boards rarely confirm whether an employer will file an H-1B petition for a specific role. Migrate Mate shows Production Associate openings filtered by employers with verified H-1B LCA filing history, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is an established practice rather than an uncertain policy.
