Job Summary
Why Geisinger: Geisinger is operationalizing AI at scale across one of the nation's most integrated health systems, moving beyond pilots and proof of concepts to build capabilities that change how care is delivered and how operations run. This role works across clinical, operational, health plan, and pharmacy functions alongside AI product development and organizational leadership to identify and advance the AI opportunities that matter most. This role is where AI strategy becomes reality. You will own the product vision and delivery roadmap for a portfolio of clinical and operational AI initiatives, working across one of the most integrated health systems in the country to build solutions that change how care is delivered and how the organization runs. Position Summary: This is a role for someone who wants to lead AI product work that actually matters. You will define and drive the roadmap for AI initiatives across clinical, operational, health plan, and pharmacy domains, taking ideas from discovery through validation, deployment, and scale. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, clinicians, and operational leaders to build AI solutions that are clinically sound, operationally viable, and genuinely adopted. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a backlog. It is a role for someone who wants to own outcomes.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Senior AI Product Manager
Frame your portfolio around measurable AI outcomes
USCIS scrutinizes whether Senior AI PM roles genuinely require a specialized degree. Document shipped models, accuracy improvements, and revenue impact to support the specialty occupation argument your employer's attorney will need to make.
Verify prevailing wage before evaluating offers
Run your target job title and location through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating. Your employer must certify a wage at or above the DOL Level I–IV threshold, and accepting below that level is legally impermissible regardless of what you agree to.
Target employers with active H-1B LCA filings for product roles
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by verified DOL Labor Condition Application history for AI and product management roles, so you're applying to companies that have already navigated H-1B sponsorship for this job type.
Clarify cap-subject status during the offer stage
Ask whether the employer is cap-exempt before accepting an offer. Universities, nonprofit research institutions, and certain government-affiliated entities can file H-1B petitions year-round without lottery exposure, which changes your start-date timeline significantly.
Request premium processing when your OPT end date is close
If your OPT expires within months of a petition filing, ask the employer to pay for USCIS premium processing. Standard adjudication can run several months, and a cap-gap period only protects you if the petition is filed before your EAD expires.
Map your degree against O*NET before interviews
Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target job title and confirm your degree field aligns with the listed education requirements. A clear degree-to-role match makes the specialty occupation determination straightforward for your employer's LCA and I-129 filing.

Find Senior AI Product Manager JobsSenior AI Product Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior AI Product Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field such as computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline. Generic product management experience alone isn't enough. The employer must demonstrate in the I-129 petition that the role's core duties require that specialized degree, not just that a degree is preferred.
How do I find employers who actually sponsor H-1B visas for AI product roles?
Browse Senior AI Product Manager listings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history for this job category. This filters out postings from companies that list H-1B sponsorship as a possibility but have no documented record of filing petitions for product or AI roles.
What happens to my H-1B petition if I switch from one AI PM role to a more senior one at the same company?
A material change in duties, title, or location requires the employer to file an amended H-1B petition with USCIS before the change takes effect. Moving into a Director or VP of AI Product role mid-status without amending can put your legal status at risk, so confirm with the employer's immigration counsel before accepting an internal promotion.
Can an employer rescind H-1B sponsorship after filing the LCA but before submitting the I-129?
Yes. The LCA is a DOL certification, not a binding employment contract. An employer can withdraw sponsorship at any point before or after USCIS approval, though they are liable for return transportation costs if they terminate you after you've relocated. Get any sponsorship commitment documented in your offer letter before resigning from a current role.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my timeline for starting an AI PM role?
If the employer is cap-subject, your petition enters the annual lottery in March for an October 1 start date. If you're not selected, you can't start in that fiscal year under H-1B unless the employer is cap-exempt. Planning your job search around the March registration window and having a cap-gap or OPT backup is standard practice for F-1 holders in this situation.
