INTRODUCTION
We are seeking an NLP engineer to join a quant research team within Point72. The ideal candidate has a track record of developing modern NLP solutions, including the use of LLMs, agents, RAG, etc. We believe the investment world offers unique opportunities to use modern NLP methods.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include:
- Exploring and combining rich internal and external textual datasets
- Formulating research hypothesis to derive alpha
- Building GenAI solutions, leveraging both internal models and external APIs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science or another quantitative discipline
- Experience in NLP, particularly LLMs
- Proficient in Python, SQL and general software engineering principles (github, testing, etc.)
- Data science stack familiarity
- Interest in financial markets

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
