The Electrical Products and Services Team is a AWS's Data Center Engineering global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation for products used within our rapidly expanding data center footprint.

Key job responsibilities
- Work with internal partner teams to solicit customer input and define design requirements for product design.
- Lead new product design, development and qualification of critical electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers with primary focus on backup power generation, specifically diesel generators, enclosures, and aftertreatment systems, as well as connecting dependencies with other electrical equipment.
- Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate equipment and components, ensuring tier 2-3 supply chain resiliency.
- Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries through appropriate levels of testing.
- Validate design through prototype, pre-production and first-of-kind builds, conducting DFx and value engineering analysis through each step and updating design and documentation.
- Work with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.
- Ability to provide support for manufacturing activities for the new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
- Be a leader within the product development team as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
