ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are hiring a talented Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. If you're excited to be part of a winning team, Obsidian Security is a great place to make an impact. A Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales process and mentoring and building the team. You will work with the sales team to technically advise on the sales of Obsidian solutions and is a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions. It is the Senior Solutions Engineer's responsibility to partner with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle and be the advocate for the customer back to product management and engineering. You'll work closely with the leadership team to build out the rest of the extended team in the respective regions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining Obsidian solutions to prospective and existing customers.
- Partner internally and externally to assess security needs and to determine requirements and alignment of Obsidian solutions to prospect pain points.
- Conduct solution proof-of-value engagements to obtain technical wins.
- Conduct field reconnaissance to provide feedback and insights to product management and engineering.
- Represent Obsidian at regional roadshows, industry conferences, and partner events by leading technical sessions and live product demonstrations.
- Partner with account teams and customer success on renewal cycles by articulating realized technical value, addressing open risks, and shaping a forward looking roadmap.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for sales commission or incentive compensation based on the role or function within the company.
LOCATION
This role is supporting the West US region with location preference in the San Francisco Bay area.
Base Salary Range: $134,000 USD - $197,000 USD
