As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

- Own Workday configuration and business process improvements across HCM, Compensation / Advanced Compensation, Talent / Performance, Reporting, Security, and related modules. Effectively build, maintain, and troubleshoot new or existing integrations.
- Provide production support by triaging, resolving, and preventing system issues.

HR Director Jobs in San Francisco: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hr director job in San Francisco?
Focus your search on San Francisco's dominant sectors: technology companies in SoMa and Mission Bay, health systems anchored around the Medical Center, and financial services firms in the Financial District. Candidates who stand out here typically bring experience managing HR functions through rapid growth or organizational change, both of which are common in the city's startup and scale-up ecosystem. Familiarity with California employment law is assumed, so emphasize it rather than treating it as a differentiator.
Which companies hire hr directors in San Francisco?
Employers hiring hr directors in San Francisco right now include Rippling, Okta, and Anthropic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The hiring mix tends to include a combination of large technology firms, established financial institutions, and high-growth startups, all of which maintain dedicated people operations functions in the city.
Are there remote hr director jobs in San Francisco?
Yes, though only selectively, since hr director roles often require on-site presence for employee relations, compliance oversight, and leadership visibility. About 38% of hr director openings tied to San Francisco are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements being more common than fully remote. Strategic and cross-functional work such as policy development and executive reporting tends to be the most location-flexible part of the role in San Francisco.
How can I get a hr director job in San Francisco with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving into a senior HR business partner or HR manager role first, particularly at one of San Francisco's mid-size technology or healthcare employers where HR teams are lean and high performers take on director-level responsibilities quickly. Organizations in SoMa and Mission Bay are especially known for promoting from within during growth phases. Building a record of leading a full HR function, even in a smaller scope, positions you for a director title at the next step.
Which industries hire the most hr directors in San Francisco?
San Francisco hr director roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Science & Research, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors drive local hiring because San Francisco's economy is built around technology product companies, a major academic medical center, and a dense cluster of asset management and banking operations, all of which require experienced HR leadership to manage complex, regulated workforces.
