Global Partnerships Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a global partnerships manager in California?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business, international relations, or a related field, followed by several years in business development, sales, or account management. California employers place particular weight on demonstrated experience closing strategic deals and managing external relationships at scale. There is no state-issued license for this role, but candidates who hold a California-based MBA or have experience in a sector like technology, life sciences, or entertainment carry a clear advantage in the state's market.
Which companies hire global partnerships managers in California?
Employers hiring global partnerships managers in California right now include NVIDIA, Abbott, and Form Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's density of multinational headquarters and technology platforms means hiring activity for this role tends to concentrate around companies managing large third-party ecosystems or international channel relationships.
Which California cities have the most global partnerships manager jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Santa Clara have the most global partnerships manager openings in California. San Francisco and the broader Bay Area lead because of the high concentration of enterprise technology and SaaS companies headquartered there, while Los Angeles draws hiring across media, entertainment, and consumer brands with significant global reach, and San Diego adds volume through its life sciences and defense technology sectors.
Are there remote global partnerships manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 27% of global partnerships manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves video calls, contract review, and digital collaboration rather than on-site presence. Strategic and program management functions within the role are most commonly offered remotely, while roles requiring regular in-person partner meetings or executive relationship stewardship tend to stay hybrid.
How can I get hired as a global partnerships manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or partner operations coordinator role at a California technology or media company, where you build direct exposure to partner programs and contract cycles. Large California employers including Salesforce, Alphabet, and Warner Bros. Discovery run associate or rotational business programs that place candidates directly into partnership-adjacent functions. A portfolio of negotiated outcomes, even from internships or university projects, combined with CRM proficiency and a second language, gives candidates a measurable edge at this entry level.
Where can I find and apply to global partnerships manager jobs in California?
