Who's Hiring

Human Resources Intern Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a human resources intern job in Houston?
Focus your search on Houston's energy corridor companies, major hospital systems, and professional services firms, which hire human resources interns more consistently than most other employer types here. Concentrating applications in the Greenway Plaza, Westchase, and Downtown districts puts you closest to where HR teams are actively staffed. Candidates who highlight HRIS software familiarity, bilingual Spanish skills, or experience with high-volume recruiting tend to stand out in Houston's competitive market.
Which companies hire human resources interns in Houston?
Companies currently hiring human resources interns in Houston include Phillips 66, EY, and HMH, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's hiring mix tends to reflect the city's dominant industries, so expect a blend of energy operators, large hospital networks, engineering contractors, and corporate headquarters with sizable HR departments.
How can I get a human resources intern job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is targeting HR coordinator or intern openings at mid-size energy services companies and hospital systems, which regularly onboard candidates with limited formal experience. Completing an SHRM student membership or a short HR fundamentals certificate adds credibility that Houston employers recognize. Campus recruiting programs at the University of Houston and Houston Baptist University also connect students directly with local employers who hire for entry-level HR support roles.
