West Monroe is looking for an HR Systems Technical Manager to join our Information Technology (IT) team. This individual will lead design, configuration, and automation work across West Monroe’s technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday and its downstream HR platforms. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical experience managing HRIS workflows and integrations, as well as proven expertise building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting project requirements intake and internal roadmap delivery. Prior experiencing leading or managing others will be important, as this team member will be expected to more direct reports within the first year.
As an HR Systems Technical Manager, you will be responsible for building AI & Automation processes and integrations within, and between, our off-the-shelf SaaS products. This role requires a strong focus on stakeholder management, a self-starter mindset, and a willingness to learn and try new things. Within an Agile Scrum team, you will work alongside a team of technical experts to maintain key integrations and process automations, all while learning and growing professionally. This role involves helping build and deliver on technical roadmaps, monitoring success of existing processes, troubleshooting and resolving integration/automation bugs, and sharing best practices across the IT Talent & Productivity team.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the continued buildout and delivery of the internal Talent Automation & AI roadmap, supporting, redesigning, and implementing net-new processes to support business needs
- Engage key stakeholders to gather, understand, and define business requirements, building the relationships needed to deepen cross-functional collaboration and understanding
- Develop and maintain low-code Workday inbound/outbound integrations, journeys, and business processes
- Analyze, design, develop, and implement process automations, workflows, and integrations across tools such as Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, ChatGPT, and more
- Manage, coach, and develop IT Talent technical team members, including assigning work, supporting delivery quality, and providing formal and informal feedback to drive career growth
- Collaborate with other Shared Services departments and corporate IT teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and fulfill acceptance criteria
- Act as subject matter expert and owner of all Talent-related Moveworks plug-ins, including discovery, testing, low-code configuration, change management, and sustainment
- Work proactively to remove technical debt by implementing scalable, low-customization solutions and platform-native capabilities, where possible
- Build working knowledge of the ServiceNow HRSD and ITSM ecosystem, with an end goal of effectively supporting the tool and leveraging it to deliver on the IT Talent roadmap
- Identify and create inventory of process best practice gaps, while maintaining accessible, updated system documentation
- Support and serve as technical lead for vendor SaaS tool implementations and deprecations
- Plan and coordinate UAT, regression testing, and release validation to ensure systems operate correctly in current and future environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, Information Technology, Human Resources, or similar preferred
- 3+ years of technical experience supporting Workday modules
- Demonstrated ability to push toward clarity and results while balancing the need for effective cross-team collaboration
- Experience working with HR products and suites, i.e. Workday, Greenhouse, other HRIS systems
- Familiarity administrating AI features in SaaS platforms and supporting AI governance best practices for enterprise HR systems
- Experience managing others in a corporate environment and the ability to mentor, coach, train, and support direct reports
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – must be able to work well and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical resources
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum sprint-based environment; understanding of Agile Scrum methodology concepts, techniques, and ceremonies strongly preferred
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn new HR platforms, evaluate platform-native capabilities, and apply them to business process improvement
- Ability to analyze, document, understand, and prioritize business needs
- Work experience in management/technology consulting or professional services industries preferred
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role is listed below.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.

Salary Range: $141,500 - $166,000 USD
