American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a hospital setting requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- PICU unit in a hospital setting caring for patients from infancy up to age 25
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring, EKGs, and inotropes
- Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30
- Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital
- Required to work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in the PICU specialty required
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical/religious exemptions only
- Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with passing scores
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric and young adult ICU patients
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
- Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year from previous end date before returning to Cleveland Clinic hospitals
- Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
