We are known for strong design and close service to our clients. We are hiring one interior designer and will set the level, Senior Interior Designer or Interior Designer, based on your experience.
What you'll do
- Design commercial interiors and solve interior design problems creatively.
- Work on projects through all phases, from design concepts through construction documents, and coordinate with project consultants.
- Specify interior finishes and select and specify commercial furniture.
- Make revisions and corrections from redlined drawings and other project documents.
- Visit sites to confirm construction follows the plans and specifications.
- Meet project schedules and submittal deadlines while working on several projects at once.
At the senior level, you will lead and manage design efforts:
- Manage production through all project phases.
- Program and space-plan commercial buildings.
- Develop budgets, scopes, and deadlines, and meet your commitments.
- Prepare finish schedules, write specifications, and detail.
- Review plans for quality control and code compliance.
- Work with clients, manufacturers, vendors, sales representatives, and firm leadership, including client presentations.
At the designer level, you will support design efforts and have room to grow within the firm:
- Provide production support through all project phases.
- Visit sites when the Project Manager asks.
What we're looking for
All levels
- Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design.
- Strong background in commercial drawings.
- Strong Autodesk Revit skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to read and interpret interior design and architectural drawings and specifications, with working knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of commercial furniture and of interior and building materials.
- Detail oriented, with strong verbal, graphic, and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, manages your own time well, and works well with staff and clients.
- Experience in educational or commercial work (preferred).
Senior level
- 6+ years of experience (preferred).
- Registered Interior Designer (Georgia) or NCIDQ certification preferred.
- Strong design skills and a proven ability to communicate design ideas visually.
- Occasional travel in and out of state for projects.
- Able to climb ladders, walk on roofs, enter and work in confined spaces when needed, work outdoors in hot or cold weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and use required safety equipment.
Designer level
- 2 to 5 years of experience (preferred).
- NCIDQ or Georgia registration preferred; recent graduates working toward NCIDQ are welcome to apply.
