IT Compliance Analyst Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a it compliance analyst in Delaware?
Most Delaware employers require a bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related discipline as the foundation for this role. Delaware does not issue a state-specific license for IT compliance analysts, so hiring decisions turn on certifications like CISA or CompTIA Security+, experience with financial or healthcare regulatory frameworks, and a demonstrated understanding of audit processes. Starting in an IT audit support or junior risk analyst role is the most common entry path in the Wilmington financial services corridor.
How much do IT compliance analysts make in Delaware?
IT compliance analysts in Delaware earn a median of about $91,050 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,930 for the lowest 10% to over $137,540 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire it compliance analysts in Delaware?
Delaware it compliance analyst roles are posted by JPMorganChase, CVS Health, and Qnity and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of major bank card issuers, specialty chemical companies, and insurance carriers means demand for compliance professionals stays relatively consistent compared to states with a more diversified economy.
Which Delaware cities have the most it compliance analyst jobs?
Newark, Wilmington, and Dover account for the largest share of it compliance analyst openings in Delaware. Wilmington drives the bulk of postings because of its dense cluster of financial institutions and corporate legal entities chartered under Delaware law, while Newark benefits from proximity to major technology and life sciences operations, and Dover draws demand from state government agencies and regulatory bodies that require ongoing IT governance support.
Are there remote it compliance analyst jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields, because IT compliance work centers on documentation review, policy analysis, and system audits that translate well to remote settings. About 57% of it compliance analyst openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how widely financial and corporate employers in the state have adopted flexible work arrangements for governance roles. The portions of the role most likely to stay fully remote are policy writing, vendor risk assessments, and control testing against documented evidence.
How can I get hired as a it compliance analyst in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior IT auditor or compliance associate role at one of Wilmington's large financial institutions, several of which run structured rotational programs for recent graduates across risk, compliance, and technology functions. Lateral moves from help desk, IT operations, or quality assurance roles are common because they establish familiarity with systems and controls. Earning a CompTIA Security+ or starting a CISA candidacy before applying gives candidates a concrete edge, and the University of Delaware's cybersecurity programs regularly place graduates with Delaware-based employers.
